Toshiba 40E220U With the 2012 Olympics coming up I decided to order a fresh Tv.
Initially I ordered a $1000 LG 47-inch 3D 1080P 120Hz model which evidently showed main artifacts, such like a weird pixelation that appeared to surround folks and objects when moving. I was shocked in the poor all round high quality in the picture, probably the most vital aspect for me.
So that LG 3D model (47LM6700) did not even make it out of the trials stage.
Amazon’s outstanding return policy permitted me to return the LG model at no price to me and I was refunded the complete amount back within five days of UPS taking it away. Bravo Amazon.
So I uncovered this $400 Toshiba 40E220U 40-inch 1080p 60Hz model and wow, I’m so incredibly delighted with it! The image superior is just excellent. When viewing 1080P footage by means of ROKU from both Netflix or Amazon Prime I’m astonished from the good quality that’s currently being streamed, not specifically Blu-Ray high quality but superb however. That stated, when viewing Blu-Ray, DVDs, even 1080i, the colors are deep, there is no botchiness (a different artifact of that LG model when viewing a dark display) along with the whole picture has an exceptionally higher level of clarity.
This Toshiba does not have 3D but I’m not sure 3D designs are pretty as much as par nevertheless. They may do 3D nicely ample but if non-3D viewing is effected because of the technologies needed to do the two, very well that is no fantastic. In any regard the few movies and handful of occasions I observed myself using 3D with that LG model just did not warrant a $600 raise. Don’t know for sure why the LG had this kind of poor picture excellent when viewing normal programming, but I do know a negative image when I see it.
This is a no-frills Toshiba 40E220U Tv — except for that image excellent — and at $400 or significantly less it really is golden.
