			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Atlanta public parks and Atlanta gardens are very good places to visit when touring this gorgeous city. Atlanta is renowned for its first class parks and tree-lined streets, giving it the moniker of a &#8220;city in a forest&#8221;.</p>
<p>Piedmont Park</p>
<p>Piedmont Park is Atlanta&#8217;s flagship park. One of the largest of the Atlanta public parks, it contains nearly 200 acres of lush greenery, walking trails, picnic areas and places to chill. Built in 1895 by legendary landscape designer Frederick Law Olmstead and found between Midtown and Virginia Highlands, Piedmont Park is a great place to visit to unwind, go for a run or catch a glimpse of the city&#8217;s classic skyline.</p>
<p>Grant Park</p>
<p>Grant Park is the oldest Atlanta public parks and is known for its charm and natural beauty. The park offers some of the best walking trails and flower gardens in Atlanta, as well as the respected Zoo Atlanta, home to above 1,300 animals from all across the world including Giant Pandas. Grant Park also plays host to the Atlanta Cyclorama, a fascinating cyclorama that showcases the 1864 Battle of Atlanta, one of the vital battles in the Civil War. <p>Chastain Park is the biggest park in Atlanta. <p>Centennial Olympic Park</p>

Atlanta offers guests a nice array of attractions and sights. Not surprisingly the most appealing attractions, piquing the curiousity of both grownups and children, are Atlanta&#8217;s most popular area zoos and aquariums, boasting several species of wildlife from around the globe. There are many zoos Atlanta has to offer that are well deserving of visiting.</p>
<p>Zoo Atlanta</p>
<p>More than 1,000 animals including one or two endangered animals on the brink of extinction are present at this zoo. Birds, reptiles, mammals, amphibians, and even meat eating plants, can be admired in this 40 acre zoo member of the Organisation of Zoos and Aquariums. Boasting more than 220 species, the Zoo in Atlanta is one of the only 4 zoos in the US to house giant pandas. This zoo also has the biggest collection of western lowland apes and orangutans. This zoo is open daily 363 days a year and closed for Xmas Day and Thanksgiving Day.</p>
<p>Georgia Aquarium</p>
