Built in 1895 by legendary landscape designer Frederick Law Olmstead and found between Midtown and Virginia Highlands, Piedmont Park is a great place to visit to unwind, go for a run or catch a glimpse of the city’s classic skyline.
Grant Park
Grant Park is the oldest Atlanta public parks and is known for its charm and natural beauty. The park offers some of the best walking trails and flower gardens in Atlanta, as well as the respected Zoo Atlanta, home to above 1,300 animals from all across the world including Giant Pandas. Grant Park also plays host to the Atlanta Cyclorama, a fascinating cyclorama that showcases the 1864 Battle of Atlanta, one of the vital battles in the Civil War. With so many great attractions in Grant Park alone, it is a must-see for all visitors.
Chastain Park

Chastain Park is the biggest park in Atlanta. Boasting more than 260 acres of public space, Chastain Park holds a wide array of walking and jogging paths, tennis courts, a golfing course, play areas, a pool, amphitheater and even a personal horse park. Atlanta Botanical Garden
Atlanta Botanical Garden is among the most gorgeous of the parks and gardens in Atlanta. Found in Midtown, these well manicured gardens in Atlanta are home to 30 acres of diverse and pretty plant life. The Atlanta Botanical Garden also hosts to the Kendeda Canopy Walk, a skywalk that showcases some of Atlanta’s wonderful urban forest areas. Centennial Olympic Park
The crown jewel of the city of Atlanta, Centennial Olympic Park is found in the heart of downtown Atlanta and is in spitting distance to a couple of the city’s most renowned landmarks and attractions such as the CNN Center, the Sector of Coca-Cola and the Georgia Aquarium. Built for the 1996 Summer Olympics, Centennial Olympic Park nowadays serves as the cultural and social epicenter of the town. Its is home to the famous Fountain of Rings and also features an amphitheater, concerts and 4th of July fireworks displays.
