Make good use of your time for many of you entering year eleven, this is a timely article reminding you that year eleven is an outstanding chance to learn your content in advance. No assessments in the preliminary year count towards the HSC, and some students take advantage of this matter by using this time to learn ahead of the pace at school. Students who are getting the year eleven pace a bit leisurely can, in some circumstances, begin to study some of the year twelve content to ease the load when year twelve starts.
Definitely, late is better than never, and we’re not saying it’s a futile exercise joining in the middle of the year. As we showed to you, we offer free services like unlimited free tutorial workshops, and we can give you the notes you missed out on, allowing you to catch up. But our opinion is it would’ve been healthier for you in terms of knowledge retention, depth of course understanding and exam technique, these things build up over time, if you had joined at the beginning of the program. If you’re already attending a tuition college, you’re well advised to stay in that program until its conclusion unless it’s actually not with any assistance at all.
I spoke with a teacher who works at a top Sydney selective school of English tutor Sydney about how their teachers set exam questions for their year twelve students. We get exam questions from schools that are out of hsc tutors, resources we know typical students don’t have access to. For instance, while exam questions are definitely recycled, they aren’t always from sources you’d expect. But it’s still worthwhile doing exam papers for practice with Preliminary hsc, purely for the sake of familiarizing yourself with the usual style of exam questions which you can’t get from any old textbook.
