No matter where you travel around the world you can see examples of stone paving. There are many excellent examples of this type of paving. It is interesting to look at what was created in stone thousands of years ago and then compare that to what we do today.

Paving with cobblestones used to be a popular stone paving method. You can see evidence and even travel down cobblestone streets to day in Europe and some cities in the United States. They were well made streets and have survived a great deal in order to still be seen today.

There are lots of other examples of great stone paving that don’t involve traditional roads. Streets are important though, but in the end you really want to look at more exciting structures. However, if you look to some of the great castles that still exist and even some of the structures of ancient Rome you can see a wealth of craftsmanship that went into the stone paving done there.

You will notice stone paving work in many of the great old buildings and temples that still stand today. The care with which the stone was placed is still visible today and the work has lasted through centuries because of it. Even if you get outside of Europe there are plenty of places where you can see the stone paving process put to work.

Check out these products: Brick Paving Patterns Setts Marble Paving

An example on the North American continent is the stone paving of the Aztec people in Mexico City. At the heart of Mexico City you can still see the paving work of the Aztec people. The ruin itself is stone that was used to pave over a lake and made into a very holy site for the people of the Aztec tribes.

You also wouldn’t want to overlook the significant amount of stone paving that took place in China to create the Great Wall. While this is more of a stone structure, the walking surface is stone paving. This is a structure that is so significant it can be seen from space.
