During Pastor Appreciation Day, grownups are often the ones who give presents to these church leaders. Youngsters may not have the money to buy a Pastor Appreciation Gift, but they’re filled with genuine love and gratitude that they can show to their pastor. They can make presents that don’t cost a penny but will make just about any heart melt. Just provide them a few art supplies, and they are off to make their own excellent gifts to give.

Show gratitude through words

One of the quickest methods to let someone know he or she is greatly valued is to go directly to that individual and let him know it. When there is a favorable moment, just ask your kids to go up to your pastor to say thank you to him and let him know how much he means to them. A good alternative would be to let your kids write down in words their gratitude for their pastor, that is if they already know how to write. Let them show what they feel in writing on a piece of clean paper, stationery, or greeting card. You may guide them as they write the letter, but, as much as possible, the words in the letter should be from the youngsters themselves. Another option would be to write the name of your pastor down the page and let the children think of a positive word that starts with every letter in your pastor’s name. Let your youngsters use markers or pastels to write the words. You may even have your rector’s name description framed, so he can fix it on his wall and showcase it.

Make art projects as gifts

Appreciating art is pretty subjective; some people may like something, whereas others don’t. But, when the art project is made by a youngster, it is almost guaranteed that everybody will love it, even more so the recipient of the art. Your rector will surely treasure an art project that your kid has put time and effort into creating. Bring out all the craft materials and provide your youngsters with several varieties of art projects they can work on. They can create a cross, paint a noteworthy picture, or make a collage that reflects the Fruit of the Spirit or various Christian values, namely love, unity, joy, hope, and meekness, among others. You can also have the kids make greeting cards with illustrations and dedications inside. When they are done creating their projects, have the works placed inside frames, if possible, before giving them to your rector.

Give a photo present

Photos are also an awesome gift idea to show your youngsters’ gratitude to their rector. Pick a nice photo of your family or of your kids. Next, let your kids write a dedication on the back or at the bottom of the photo. Allow them to write as much as they want on the back of the photo, as long as it fits, but try to limit the writings on the front so they won’t cover up the picture. Then, place the picture inside a lovely picture frame. You can also let the youngsters add decorations or write motivating words on the picture frame.

The innocence of kids in the way they express themselves through words and pictures are what makes every project they create a highly prized work of art.
