From Form Factor to 4G

It’s long been hypothesized that a bigger screen was planned for the iPhone 5, though the idea was met with robust opposition from the main man Steven Jobs himself. The late Apple Managing Director seemingly didn’t approve of the bigger screen as it would fragment the iPhone line. Many are convinced that Apple will still push through with a larger 4-inch screen in the new gen though, to follow what their competitors have for ages been doing.

Two features are also widely rumored on the iPhone 5: quad core and 4G LTE technologies. Many ruminate that since its competitors are moving toward those 2 technologies, it’s only logical for Apple to do the same. iPhone 5 news also confirm that since the 4S has a dual-core ARM processor, we’ll probably see a quad core chip on the subsequent gen handset, most likely an Apple A6. As for mobile connectivity, though lots of its competitors are making LTE handsets (most particularly, Samsung), it is said that Apple has been saving 4G for the iPhone 5.

As you can expect, these rumors have been met up with mixed reactions, but though this could be the case, its release is still generally predicted.

Date Of Release
