Windows Live Hotmail is more commonly called MSN Hotmail to a lot of people. Now, so many users still refer to it as simply Hotmail. This is one of the longest running mail services offered by Microsoft.

As the name implies, hotmail has become a hot item even to people who were then unfamiliar with the internet during the year 1996. It was risky for the developers to give their capital to this service, but it was well worth it. But as we now know, this brand of email service has caught on and satisfied a grave need. Snail mail soon became used less as email became the king of correspondence methods. The service was taken on by venture capitalists at an opportune time.

The term hotmail is famous, but not many know that it was derived from the acronym html, which is an encoding terminology used in website development. The service got a major face lift when Microsoft waved its magic wand on the service in 1997. Now, we often see it as Windows Live hotmail, but it is still the same service.Hotmail has become world famous. While the counterparts are expanding, hotmail continues to be the most steadfast service for as long as anyone can remember. Hotmail is perhaps most famous for its ease of use. The whole process of receiving and storing mail is simple.

In 2010 it is still the most popular mail service with over 300 million users. It’s definitely a great thing that Microsoft decided to expand the service when they took over in 1998. Not everyone knows but hotmail has a paid service besides the free one. Hotmail continues to grow under the Windows Live umbrella.

When chat interfaces were introduced, hotmail became even more popular. This service has revolutionized the way people converse and share ideas all over the world. A lot of the people who use internet dating sites still use hotmail.

Let us also look at this website as they talk about Hotmail sign in
