Visitors will be shocked by the range of concert venues in Hong Kong. Performances at Hong Kong concert destinations are influenced by bordering mainland China as well as Western culture. British influence is noticable because of China’s long occupation of the island country of Hong Kong. The destinations below include the top-rated concert venues.

Kwai Tsing Theatre

Seating up to 899 visitors, the Kwai Tsing Theatre is the center for small scale and experimental performances. The facility is reasonably new and opened in 1999. Performances include standard Chinese shows as well as pop concerts and magic shows.

Hong Kong Cultural Centre

The HK Cultural Center is amongst the most noted concert locales in nation-state of Hong Kong. It’s home base to the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra. Found near to the Tsim Sha Tsui Clock Tower with a background of modern skyscrapers, the Cultural Centre is a cultural gem in downtown Hong Kong. The facility boasts the largest pipe organ in the East, with an impressive 8000 pipes. The key concert hall is clad in splendid oak and can seat 2019 guests in 2 tiers. The space has been installed with a technologically advanced changeable acoustic cover and curtains. The 1734 seat Grand Theatre was specifically designed for enormous opulent operas, ballets and musicals. The facility also has a three hundred seat theater called the Studio Theatre made use of for smaller performances. The facility current hosts a selection of musical performances including orchestral, ballets, musicals and operas.

Hong Kong City Hall

The first City Hall was a two story renaissance style masterwork created by famous French designer Maitre A. Mermite. Hong Kong City Hall operated as executive offices from its opening in 1869 until which time it was acquired by the HK Bank in 1933. The present structure, which opened in 1962, is the brain child of British designers Alan Fitch and Ron Phillips. The Hong Kong City Hall building’s design employed the “World” style, which was very much preferred at the time and made from concrete and polished metal. It boasts a daunting 1434 seat concert hall and 463 seat theatre. The multi-purpose facility has a selection of shows including ballets, operas and orchestras.

Tuen Mun City Hall

Found in northwest HK the Tuen Mun City Hall functions as the city of Hong Kong’s main cultural center. The Auditorium has a capacity of 1372 and has a cutting edge sound system. The room is laid out to accommodate classical performances with a roomy stage and removable rows that provide additional room for bigger orchestras. The Tuen Mun City Hall also has a Cultural Activities Hall capable of easily seating 300 guests on tiered platforms.

The city of Hong Kong boasts a rich melting-pot of cultural and artistic attractions for travelers from all over the world. There is something for everyone, and what’s a finer way to investigate the phenomenal metropolis’s offerings than by visiting some of the art galleries in Hong Kong. Ranging from ancient Chinese artifacts to some of the most famed contemporary masterpieces worldwide , Hong Kong is becoming known as a major art center of not just Asia, but the whole world.

Hong Kong Museum of Art

Found in the Central retail district, the Gagosian studio is luxurious and roomy, hosting shows of the world's foremost names in recent art,eg Cy Twombly, Andreas Gursky, and Roy Lichtenstein. Many of the exhibitions seek to explore the condition of the human psyche, the person's role in a larger society, and the philosophical state of human existence. Grotto Fine Art gallery often features dark and psychologically colored works. Intellectually-minded people will wish to make Para/Site one of their first stops on a tour of Hong Kong?s Hong Kong art galleries.

Grotto Fine Art

The Hong Kong art scene is booming with life and vitality. The world is focused on the art that's now coming from Hong Kong. This sudden interest is due to the hysteria of new art galleries and Hong Kong museums that have opened inside the year. Hong Kong is home to so many fantastic artists, but there are 1 or 2 that stand out more than any others.

Giles Dawe

Giles may not be a Hong Kong native, but he's been living in Hong Kong with hopes to break into the art scene there. His art has appeared in HK museums and little art shows that showcase his oil paintings and other artwork. He in addition has appeared in HK magazines that showcase his lovely and unique work.

Songhua

Song is a very well-known Chinese artist which has been a fairly big name in Hong Kong for quite awhile. His art is focused on normal Chinese design featuring Bird and Flower. These symbols are of high seriousness to Chinese design, but he concentrates on bringing this concept to the modern-art world. His work is breathtaking and textured, and it has also appeared in museums in HK.

Hai Tian

Hai Tian is a Chinese artist who's had work display around the globe. His art in museums in Hong Kong stand out the most. His melancholy art is unhappy but inspiring. His artwork is based upon painting, but he deviates from the conventional laws that painters frequently use in China. This reflects in the poetic and lovely nature of his work. His work is valued and displayed at the Chinese Art Museum as well as other museums all across the country.

Feng Zikai

This artist is not alive, but he was a major influence on Hong Kong art. He created Chinese calligraphy art, music and design. His cartoons were some of the most inspiring pieces of his. They mixed Eastern and Western techniques to make something unique and fresh. His art speaks of humanism considerably, and he leaves behind an inheritance that won't be forgotten. His design is displayed at the Hong Kong Museum of Art, and it's routinely exhibited in galleries around the planet.
