<p>Atlanta Marathon and Marathon Relay</p>
<p>Every year you can participate in the races that are held in Piedmont Park, even if you are not a marathon level athlete. It happens on the last week of Oct.</p>
<p>Travel the Chattahoochee</p>
<p>Shoot the Hooch provides everything that you need to explore the Chattahoochee River. Whether you want to raft, canoe, canoe or tub down the rapids, this company can set you up. For the more sedate daredevil, they also offer ship trips down the river. Trips can be lead by a company guide.</p>
<p>North Georgia Canopy Tours Ultimate Zip Line</p>
<p>Climb up into the trees and experience 2 rope bridges, 12 zip lines and rappelling over 3 pools and the Oconee River. Be sure to bring hiking boots and out of doors clothing. Found about 1 hour from Atlanta, this tree top adventure is unbeaten. This is proving to be one of the best hiking trails in Atlanta.</p>
<p>Snow Mountain</p>
<p>Open from Thanksgiving through February, this snow park features 20 tube runs, a sizeable are to build snowmen, a snowball shooting gallery and a few warm bonfires to cook s?mores. Found in Stone Mountain Park in nearby Stone Mountain, these outside sports in Atlanta provide fun all winter long for every age.</p>
<p>Ice Skating at the Ritz</p>
<p>The Ritz-Carlton Lodge at Reynolds Plantation opens a 6,000 square foot skating rink from Thanksgiving through February. This rink is free to guests at the hotel, but is open to all for skating. <p>Some preferred trails are the 3 mile Chastain Park trail, the 19 mile Stone Mountain Trail, and the 95.5 Silver Comet trail. Taking the Arabia Mountain trail will enable you to find waterfalls, wildflowers and farms. The Trail Foundation that has developed main trails in and around the Atlanta area. These hiking trails in Atlanta allow all non-motorized autos and motorised wheelchairs. Trail users can walk or bike through many of these areas.
