Heroes never quit; quitters were never heroes. None of the baseball experts or analysts expected the Giants to win the world tour at 2010 but the Orange October feelings of their Facebook fans inspired. The San Francisco Giants have won the world title for two times in the last three years. This was outstanding. They were quiet for some time and were unnoticed. They were underdogs. Yet they won. 2011 was devastating for the Giants. None of us want to remember or recollect the devastation that happened that year. This was after seven years of continuous loses and pitfalls. The Giants set a couple of records during their maiden victory after almost a decade of loses. The possibility of winning the consecutive year after 2012 is shining for the Giants. They have the highest salary package in history that year. Information pertinent to this is available at LinkedIn.

The team players are not only playing to show off their skill but they are playing for one another. It’s all for one and one for all as they play in unison for the team. Team spirit and fan spirit is sky high for the Giants. Trust me the Giants will win the third time in the last four years. All of them have a hunger for the trophy. They are working their level best to win this year as they won the previous year. The war is getting fired up and we can see the enthusiasm growing among the team members for the next world series. You should see the crowd’s roar in the fields, with their immense pleasure they shout their slogans. A few of these videos are available in YouTube. Any team may occasionally win with a normal crowd. But the world’s best, enthusiastic Giants fans will help the team win the trophy again.

The whole of the San Francisco Giants’ team is organized and are mounting pressure on other teams to perform well. From the top level management to the last player left, everyone here are making their chances better by learning from their loses. On the field performance has been excellent and the fans are optimistic for a World Series trophy in 2013. The team is excelling in all means possible; this is because of their determination to win. Resiliancy and perseverance is seen as they learn from their mistakes. New players especially Angel Pagan is a good sight to see for a Giant fan. He is in the team for quite some while now. He can really deliver. People are following fellow players of the team in twitter and other social networking sites as well.

The crowds will be enthusiastic welcoming their champs. With all the novel players signing for the Giants and the extensions that these players are ready to play for; there are very little chances that any other team other than the Giants would win the world championship. The Giants cannot be defeated this season because the team was not built on money or for fame. The team rebounded from failure. The Giants starvation for victory in 2010 caused them to win the trophy. This season they will show their valor and determination

A disappointing 79-83 record last season ended the Cincinnati Reds’ chances to defend their National League Central championship from 2010. But general manager Walt Jockety didn’t make many moves to improve them, resulting in a disappointing 2011. The GM feels like he has added in the right pieces to contend in 2012, however. He has acquired a proven starter in Mat Latos and a shutdown closer in Ryan Madson. With the St. Louis Cardinals losing Albert Pujols, and Prince Fielder not returning to the Milwaukee Brewers, Cincinnati believes it is the team to beat in the Central. Here are my MLB predictions for the Reds’ starting rotation and closer in 2012.

Projected Rotation

Johnny Cueto (RHP) – Cueto was superb last season, going 9-5 with a 2.31 ERA and 1.09 WHIP (both career-bests). The fact that he only notched nine wins is criminal, in five of his no-decisions last year he left the game with the lead, only to see the bullpen blow it. Cueto is entering the prime of his career and could be destined for great things going forward.

Mat Latos (RHP) – With Latos the Reds could really bolster their rotation. He went just 9-14 in 2011, but his 3.47 ERA and 1.18 WHIP indicate he pitched much better than his record. There are some concerns with him making the move from Petco to Great American (which is generally more hitter-friendly), but Latos still posted solid numbers on the road last year, so don’t expect his numbers to inflate too much.

Bronson Arroyo (RHP) – Arroyo had a down year last season, thanks to a mono infection that affected his performance. He started 32 games for the Reds, but he finished just 9-12 with a horrible 5.07 ERA for the year. Now that he seems to have regained his health, look for him to bounce back with numbers more similar to his 3.88 ERA and 17 wins of 2010.

Mike Leake (RHP) – Leake isn’t going to make headlines, but he was the Reds most consistent starter last year, leading the way with 12 wins and a 3.86 ERA. At just 24-years old he still has room to grow and can provide some excellent stability at the back of this rotation.

Homer Bailey (RHP) – Bailey has shown signs of brilliance in his career, but he needs to start producing on a more consistent basis if he wants to keep his job. He went 9-7 last year with a 4.43 ERA and 1.28 WHIP in a career-high 22 starts. If he doesn’t improve soon, he might just lose his position in the rotation, should the team decide to make Aroldis Chapman a starter this season.

Projected Closer

Ryan Madson (RHP) – Francisco Cordero saved 37 games for the Reds last year, but he is certainly on the decline and Cincinnati opted not to retain him. Cincinnati is excited about having Madson close the ninth, as he converted 32 of 34 save opportunities with the Philadelphia Phillies last year. Madson could save upwards of 40 games this year, especially with the new look of their starting staff, but an arm injury may cost him the 2012 season.
