I absolutely love this saw so far. I’ve used it for several large-scale home improvement projects and have been able to achieve excellent accuracy down to less than 1/16″. I have custom-made numerous cabinets and doors, ripped 4×8 sheets of plywood (with another person helping), and custom-cut higher-grade materials with ease (Note- I am usually using a high-quality 60-tooth blade for the finer cuts). The motor always seems to have plenty of power, and the safety guards work well without getting in the way. The gravity-rise stand makes it very easy to pull out of the garage and set up quickly and load into / out of a truck/SUV. The onboard storage for all the accessories is very handy as well. I also have many of the add-on accessories, which have been a great help – the side and rear support extensions, dust bag, dado and zero-clearance inserts.
As a word of caution, I have found the digital rip fence to be very accurate, but always remember to re-set it every time you start a job or need to adjust the right-side table extension. I agree that it may not be worth the premium price to everyone. Also, keep your guide track clean, otherwise the rip fence may not slide smoothly and could impact your measurement.
