Adore My Previous Fashion Recipes. Maybe It’s My Previous Age Or Perhaps

Adore my previous fashion recipes. Maybe it’s my previous age or perhaps it’s the taste but I so significantly enjoy using my assortment of recipes from my youth and early married times. Try these sides and salads and see if you do not enjoy them, too! What is not to love about this delicious Cherry Waldorf Salad or my Hoosier Shell Macaroni? The Concept Corn Casserole has a unusual name but it sure tastes great!

CHERRY WALDORF SALAD
This recipe is an additional of my Southern Indiana heritage recipes!

two apples, chopped
1 tbsp lemon juice
two ribs celery, chopped
one cup new or frozen tart pitted cherries
1/two cup dried cranberries
1/two cup chopped pecans

Toss the apples in the lemon juice in a big bowl. Add the celery, cherries, cranberries, and pecans. Gently combine ingredients with each other. Make the following dressing and fold into the salad. Refrigerate until serving time.

Dressing:
one/4 cup mayonnaise
one/4 cup sour cream
two tbsp honey

HOOSIER SHELL MACARONI SALAD
This is a great pasta salad recipe for picnics, family reunions, etc as it doesn’t have any mayonnaise in it.

1 box (eight-oz) little seashell pasta, cooked according to pkg directions and drained
1 1/two cups small zucchini, thinly sliced
1 1/2 cups diced fresh tomatoes
one/4 cup chopped new parsley
1 tsp dried oregano
one tsp dried basil
dash of garlic powder
1 bottle (eight-oz) Italian Salad Dressing of your option

Idea CORN CASSEROLE
This previous recipe from a now defunct nineteen fifties homemaker’s magazine has quite a unique name. I guess it was someone’s “vibrant concept?” Whoever experienced the “concept”, it was a good 1 that my family members and I have loved for numerous, many many years.

one little green pepper, chopped*
one little onion, chopped
3 tablespoons butter
two tablespoons flour
one/two teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon paprika
one/four teaspoon dry mustard
1/eight teaspoon cayenne pepper
one can corn, cream type
1/two cup milk
one egg, beaten
1/two cup dry bread crumbs

Saute the green pepper and onion in the butter. Combine the remaining components and include to the green pepper and onion. Pour the combination into a buttered shallow baking dish. Leading with more dry bread crumbs and melted butter for a crunchy topping, if you would like. Bake the casserole at 350 for twenty minutes.

Appreciate!
