InventHelp Partners With Make-A-Wish Greater Pennsylvania And West Virginia To Make Local Girl’s Dreams Come True

InventHelp, a leading inventor service company, partnered with the Greater Pennsylvania and West Virginia Make-A-Wish (registered company) Chapter in December 2013 to grant the wish of Lindsey, a local ten-year-old girl with a complex heart condition requiring multiple operations and hospital stays. Later that month, Lindsey and her family travelled to Discovery Cove to fulfill her dream of swimming with dolphins.

Her family and Lindsey were seen through Discovery Cove by Patrick, a dolphin trainer, who began her venture with a behind the scenes tour of the dolphin place. Patrick shared fascinating facts with the young girl, who aspires to one day work with creatures, for example how he begins his day at 4:00 a.m. to weigh and bucket fish for the 44 dolphins in his care.

After the tour, Lindsey met the younggirl dolphin, a tender 35-year old male named Akai. The young managed to touch and feed Akai and join Lindsey in the lagoon for belly and backside rides. His pal Roxy and Akai treated the whole family to foot pushes, in which dolphins push at the feet of a man floating on their belly. Lindsey’s mom said it was somewhat tricky but a thrill that was tremendous.

Patrick, Akai, and Roxy were part of the enjoyment. Lindsey’s adventures continued throughout the day, including swimming and snorkeling with stingrays and fish and thousands, touching sharks, feeding river otters, and meeting a pygmy marmoset, an armadillo and an anteater.
In a letter to Make-A-Wish, Lindsey’s mother said, “it turned out to be a perfect day–a day none of us will forget.”

The staff and direction of InventHelp are delighted to have been Wishmakers(registered company) who helped make little Lindsey’s wish come true. The workers held distinct occasions through the month to raise cash including donating $20 to wear jeans in work for the entire month and raffling Steelers tickets. A number of staff volunteered to help Make-A-Wish raise contributions at their annual vacation drive, held at local malls in the Pittsburgh area. InventHelp matched the money raised by employees to meet with the amount needed to fund Lindsey’s wish.

Last November, excited for her trip, Lindsey wrote a list for a school job of things for which she was grateful. This courageous young girl’s top three

1. I’m grateful because he gave me an amazing life!
2. I am grateful for friends and my family because they love me for me.
3. I am grateful for Make-A-Wish for making my wish come true!

The InventHelp team is glad and humbled to have been part of this inspiring and touching event. The company plans to continue its partnership with Make-A-Want and help another kid that is local fulfil her or his vision later this year.
