It is possible to create a list of hundreds of towns and cities that have been devastated by flooding over the last few years and most of these have never been flooded before. Global warming, blocked land drains, urban development and new road systems are just some of the reasons given but in reality those people caught up in a maelstrom only care about what happens next.
So long as your house and contents are insured against disaster you have a right to think that your Insurer will get to work and get your home put back together for you. Unfortunately this is not the way it seems to work any more in many cases.
Why should you miss out an opportunity to file for compensation case, when you stand to gain from it? You may not be aware as to how much you stand to gain by making a claim. Often, this right to make a claim is not used by victims of an accident. You can get the required information on making a claim by looking online also. This will help you get the required information quickly and in a short period of time.
Although it is easy to lull yourself into a false sense of security, believing that everything is under control and nothing serious could go wrong, the truth is that wedding cancellation insurance exists solely because serious things do go wrong, and regularly.
For example, consider what you would do if you discovered that just a day or two before your wedding there was flooding in the area of the venue. Perhaps the venue is flooded, and has had to close, or perhaps the roads are impassable, and no one can even reach the venue. You have little control over the weather, the local drainage system or the ability of the sun to evaporate several million gallons of water by 3pm.
Neither can wedding insurance, but at least it will protect your considerable financial investment, allowing you to rearrange your wedding at no additional expense.

If you have organised transport for your wedding day – perhaps a limousine – then you may well be looking forward to arriving in style. That is, until you get a phone call from the limousine driver to explain that the car has broken down and won’t be ready until the following week. Or you discover the driver has been stopped for drink driving and has had his license taken away.
Another issue that you will not be told or reminded of is the term that every policy that I have seen requires that you pay for the restoration of any damage and then reclaim the cost. This does two things for you. Firstly it gives you the right to access the charges being made against your policy. this confirms your absolute right to make a challenge you if think they are over stated. Secondly it puts you in control of restoration procedures and this means you can stop restoration of items that should be replaced because restoration costs exceed replacement cost. Restoration contractors make their living from restoration and so are not too worried about replacement cost.
With regard to you having to fund the charges. Each contractor will have a standard form called a billing mandate. This is a document that you should sign for each contractor because it is giving them your authority to charge insurers on your behalf for the work that they do. This does wonders for your cash flow because Insurers are notoriously slow in paying large sums. The contractors have to bear this burden and knowingly apply a hidden finance charge anyway.
For your claim to be successful you have to have bought the right policy for your property and circumstances Then with your ability to control affairs in your home during the course of restorations, all should be satisfactory allowing you to get on with other things
